Lynchburg Area Youth Sports Initiative (LAYSI) provides small sports grants to support local youth athletes and/or teams in Lynchburg and surrounding counties to provide financial assistance to those with needs.

All applications will be reviewed by our Grant Committee prior to a decision being made. The committee will attempt to meet within 5-10 business days of a submission to review the application. Once the committee has reached a decision, a LAYSI representative will reach out to you regarding the committee’s decision.

Grant funds may be requested and used for Equipment or uniforms, Registration or League fees, Travel Expenses, Training or Coaching cost, Facility or Field rental, Tournament fees, or other expenses reviewed by our committee on a case by case basis.

All funds will be distributed via a check upon the committee making their decision to award funds.

Verification of any and all purchases made with awarded funds (receipts, proof of payment, invoice, etc.) should be sent to laysigroup@gmail.com within one week of purchase.
